The Future of The Easy Chicken

Changes for 2020

Friends and customers,

We are pleased to share some updates and news about The Easy Chicken and Jansen Sharpening.

As Jansen Sharpening has been growing and expanding our customer base in St. Louis and around the country, we have been considering how to best serve customers of The Easy Chicken. In order to focus our family’s entrepreneurial efforts most effectively, we have decided to wind down operations of The Easy Chicken over the next year. We will of course honor all of our current customer commitments, including orders for the 2020 season.

In the meantime, we will be offering special clearance prices on our inventory of coops, starting at $100 each. We also have one display-model Deluxe Cedar Coop available for $1300!

We are excited for what the future holds and grateful for the privilege of serving so many customers over the past seven years. We have learned so much and met so many amazing people whom we now consider friends.

And of course we look forward to serving you as customers of Jansen Sharpening, making your favorite knives, scissors and tools more enjoyable to use – and helping them to last well into the future.

Again, we thank you for making The Easy Chicken and Jansen Sharpening so successful!

Sincerely,
Seth and Maria Jansen

P.S. We would consider selling the business (in whole or in part), and while we have had serious interest from non-local buyers (including a potential buyer in the UK), we would prefer selling to a St. Louis-area purchaser. If you know someone in the St. Louis area who may be interested, feel free to put them in touch!
